BOGOR, MettaNEWS – Persis played a goalless draw in their visit to Pakansari Stadium, to compete in the 7th week of BRI Liga 1 against Semen Padang last Sunday (30/9).
Playing alongside Yogie Nugraha as a coach, he appreciated the hard work of the players even though they did not achieve perfect results.
“We are grateful to get 1 point, even though our desire was more than that. I thank the players who have worked hard,” said Yogie as quoted from persis.id.
He then added that Persis had to change their formation and tactical approach after losing two central defenders from Brazil, Kunde and Lima, due to injuries.
“Losing them (Kunde and Lima) was beyond our expectations. Because then we had to replace players and this was beyond the tactical preparation we had made. Because there were some strategies that we had prepared for the second half, but their absence made me change tactics. This will be our evaluation material to be better in the future,” said the 37-year-old man.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Riyandi, who also represented the players, commented on the course of the match. In that match, Riyandi made at least 5 saves and was named Man of the Match.
“Thank God, Alhamdulillah, we could get one point from this match. Actually, we wanted maximum points, but this still needs to be grateful for. And for the Man of the Match, I think this is thanks to the hard work of all the players, not just because of me personally,” concluded Riyandi.
